There Is So Much To Do In Burr Oak State Park
This beautiful park spans more than 2,500 wooded acres. The heart is Burr Oak Lake, a 664 acre lake built in 1950 with a maximum depth of about 30 feet at it’s deepest point.
The lake has four boat launch ramps and has large populations of bass, catfish and bluegill that are sure to guarantee a relaxing day of fishing on the lake.
You can rent a pontoon, kayak or canoe at the Burr Oak Getaways Float Shack which is located near Dock #2 or the Burr Oak Marina Dock #1 or Burr Oak Marina Dock #4. They offer hourly rentals for pontoons, canoes, kayaks, and fishing boats. Our cabin is located near Dock #4.
Across the lake is the Burr Oak Lodge, which has a great restaurant and bar with beautiful views of the lake, as well as an event venue for weddings, meetings, etc.
Burr Oak State Park also has a beach, for days filled with swimming, picnics, fun in the sun, and evenings spent watching beautiful sunsets over the lake.
