There Is So Much To Do In Burr Oak State Park
This beautiful park spans more than 2,500 wooded acres. The heart is Burr Oak Lake, a 664 acre lake built in 1950 with a maximum depth of about 30 feet at it’s deepest point.
The lake has four boat launch ramps and has large populations of bass, catfish and bluegill that are sure to guarantee a relaxing day of fishing on the lake.
You can rent a pontoon, kayak or canoe at the Burr Oak Getaways Float Shack which is located near Dock #2 or the Burr Oak Marina Dock #1 or Burr Oak Marina Dock #4. They offer hourly rentals for pontoons, canoes, kayaks, and fishing boats. Our cabin is located near Dock #4.
Across the lake is the Burr Oak Lodge, which has a great restaurant and bar with beautiful views of the lake, as well as an event venue for weddings, meetings, etc.
Burr Oak State Park also has a beach, for days filled with swimming, picnics, fun in the sun, and evenings spent watching beautiful sunsets over the lake.
There are miles of hiking, horseback and ATV off-road riding trails
Wildcat Hollow Hiking Trail and Tecumseh Trails off-road ATV trails are right around the corner from the cabin.
Take in an afternoon of horseback riding at Smoke Rise Ranch. They offer hourly horse rentals with guided tours or ride at your leisure through the wooded trails.
Try a haunted horseback ride! The Moonville Tunnel Ride from Uncle Bucks Stable is a scenic horseback ride that takes you to the area where the old town of Moonville used to be. You’ll actually ride into the haunted Moonville Tunnel on the Moonville Rail Trail. Visit their website for more information and reservations.
You can also enjoy the nearby archery range as well as hunting in designated areas throughout the forest.

Local pizza delivery is available directly to the cabin from Little Italy Pizza at the Glouster location.
Ole Time Pizza is another local pizza place about 10 minutes from our cabin that has a drive thru pick up window. It’s connected to Jewell’s Drive Thru Beverage, so you can pick up drinks & snacks there as well.
Enjoy breathtaking views of the lake along with delicious food & drinks at Burr Oak Lodge Cardinal Dining Room & Bar. The drive is about 15 minutes to get around to the other side of the lake from the cabin.
Need some last minute supplies or food? There is a Dollar General store about 10 minutes from the cabin, and also a Kroger grocery store about 15 minutes from the cabin.
There is a Sunoco gas station located at 52 High St Glouster, OH 45732, about a 10 minute drive from the cabin.
Self serve firewood is available 24/7 at Burr Oak Storage located at 11182 Burr Oak Rd Glouster, OH 45732, just a 5 minute drive from the cabin.
