There Is So Much To Do In Burr Oak State Park!
This beautiful park spans more than 2,500 wooded acres. The heart is Burr Oak Lake.
The lake has four boat launch ramps. Burr Oak Lake has large populations of bass, catfish and bluegill that are sure to guarantee a relaxing day of fishing on the lake.
The Burr Oak Marina also offers hourly rentals for pontoons, canoes, kayaks, and fishing boats. Our cabin is located near Dock #4.
Across the lake is Burr Oak Lodge, which has a great restaurant and bar with beautiful views of the lake, as well as an event venue for weddings, meetings, etc.
Burr Oak State Park also has a beach, for days filled with swimming, picnics, fun in the sun, and evenings spent watching beautiful sunsets over the lake.
There are miles of hiking, horseback and ATV off-road riding trails through thick forests that are populated by white-tailed deer, turkey, squirrels, box turtles, waterfowl and countless bird species.
There are many camping sites, both electric & primitive with restroom access for tents and RVs that are available during the spring through the fall.
Take in an afternoon of horseback riding at Smoke Rise Ranch. They offer hourly horse rentals with guided tours or ride at your leisure through the wooded trails.
You can also enjoy the nearby archery range as well as hunting in designated areas throughout the forest.
